Alia Bhatt has come a long way since her debut in Student of the Year, and her former co-star Ram Kapoor is praising her inspiring journey.
In a recent interview, Ram Kapoor shared how the film industry initially underestimated Alia when she made her debut with Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Speaking with Siddharth Kanna, he said, “Sabhi bahut young the tab. Alia sabse chhoti thi, aur logon ko laga ki shayad uska chance kam hai.”
He added, “Sab log sochte the ki Varun aur Sidharth ke paas zyada mauka hoga, lekin dekhiye aaj Alia ne sabki expectations ko peeche chhod diya hai.”
Kapoor remembered Alia’s early days, saying, “Uske gaal tab bhi gol-matol the, aur wo itni innocent lagti thi. Tab kisi ne nahi socha hoga ki wo aaj itni badi star banegi. Hats off to her!”
He praised Alia’s hard work and professionalism, saying she is more disciplined than many others in the industry. Kapoor shared, “Mujhe ad filmmakers ne bataya hai ki wo sabko izzat deti hai. Set pe har director ko ‘Sir’ kehti hai, chahe wo usse chhote hi kyun na ho.”
Kapoor further said that if Alia continues with this dedication, “Wo Deepika [Padukone] banegi.” He highlighted how professionalism is crucial for success in today’s film world.
In other news, Prabhas wrote a heartfelt message for the “Ever-Talented” Deepika Padukone on her 39th birthday, calling her an icon.
On the work front, Alia is preparing for Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail. The film is part of YRF’s spy universe and features Alia in the lead role, alongside Sharvari and Anil Kapoor.
Alia is also playing the female lead in Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
Deepika Padukone also won hearts with her effortless and stylish airport look, lovingly called “Dua’s Mumma” by fans.
