Sky Force sells 12,000 tickets in top chains for opening day
Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, is gearing up to release soon. This patriotic aerial action movie has shown decent performance in advance ticket sales.
Pre-sales update
The film, directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapoor, has sold 12,000 tickets in top multiplex chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis for its opening day. A majority of these bookings were from PVR Inox. With one full day left for advance booking, there is still scope for improvement in ticket sales.
Advance booking progress
The full-fledged advance booking for Sky Force began today, and the response so far has been average. However, movies typically see a significant rise in ticket sales on the final day of pre-booking, often doubling from the previous day.
The makers have introduced several promo codes and discounts to attract viewers, highlighting how price-sensitive Indian audiences are. These offers have helped generate interest, but they are available for a limited time. It remains to be seen if more such deals will be rolled out tomorrow, the last day for advance booking.
Spot bookings and word-of-mouth are crucial
The movie is aiming to sell around 60,000 tickets across the top multiplex chains for its first day. However, the final collection on Day 1 will heavily depend on spot bookings and word-of-mouth reviews.
If Sky Force receives positive feedback from critics and audiences during morning shows, it is expected to see a boost in ticket sales for evening and night shows. According to estimates by Pinkvilla, the movie could earn between ₹7.50 crore and ₹8.50 crore on its opening day. A strong reception might even push it to cross the ₹10 crore mark.
