All eyes are on Jr NTR’s next big action film directed by Prashanth Neel. The actor, who is currently busy shooting War 2, is expected to join this project in March. The makers have confirmed that filming has already started, and now the story has been revealed.
According to a report by Telugu Chitraalu, the film’s story is said to be inspired by the real-life character Zhao Wei, a famous Chinese gangster and feared mafia don who once ruled the Golden Triangle area, covering parts of Thailand and Myanmar.
In this film, Jr NTR will play a strong mafia don caught between two warring gangs. The story will show how he rises from a low rank to become the new leader who overcomes both sides and establishes his own rule.
However, these reports are not confirmed yet, and we will have to wait to see the final details when the movie is released.
Pre-production for NTR Neel began back in August 2024, and just a few days ago, Prashanth Neel started the first phase of filming in Hyderabad.
In a recent clip shared by the makers, the director was seen shooting a high-energy scene with a large group of actors, which is believed to be a riot sequence. Prashanth Neel was seen standing on top of a car, giving instructions to the crowd.
The makers captioned the clip:
“The SOIL finally welcomes its REIGN to leave a MARK in the HISTORY books of Indian Cinema! #NTRNEEL shoot has officially begun; A whole new wave of ACTION & EUPHORIA is ready to grip the masses.”
There are also rumors that the film might be titled Dragon for the Jr NTR starrer, but this is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
