The 8th edition of the Women’s Hockey Asian Champions Trophy will begin on November 11 at the newly built Rajgir Hockey Stadium. Six teams will compete for the prestigious title in the Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2024.

Format of Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2024:
In the tournament, all six teams will play against each other once in a round-robin format. The top two teams on the points table will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held on November 19. The winners of the semifinals will then play in the grand final on November 20 for the trophy.

History of Women’s Asian Champions Trophy:
The Women’s Hockey Asian Champions Trophy started in 2010, with South Korea winning the first edition by defeating Japan. South Korea went on to win again in 2011, beating China. In 2013, Japan claimed the title by defeating India. India won their first Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in 2016 by defeating China. The following editions, in 2018, 2021, and 2023, were won by South Korea, Japan, and India, respectively.
