Though there was an 18.53% drop from Day 6, the film maintained a strong hold on audiences across India. Starting from Day 1, Pushpa 2 set a high standard and has already overtaken movies like Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, which made nearly ₹600 crore. Trade analysts believe the movie will break even more records.

Interestingly, though Pushpa 2 is a Telugu film, it has performed very strongly in Hindi. In fact, there were days when its Hindi collections were higher than Telugu. Among regions, the movie performed best in Mumbai, even outdoing Andhra and Nizam regions after its massive opening weekend.

Occupancy Rates:

  • Telugu: 29.92%
  • Hindi: 32.69%
  • Tamil: 20.32%
  • Kannada: 25.96%
  • Malayalam: 8.84%

This shows how the Hindi version had the highest audience turnout.

Story & Performances:

Pushpa 2 continues the journey of Pushpa Raj, a sharp and fearless sandalwood smuggler. Fans of the first part know how Pushpa proved his loyalty and fought to stay at the top despite facing enemies and threats to his life. His iconic attitude of “Jhukega Nahi” continues in this sequel.

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna return as Pushpa and Srivalli. While Allu Arjun shines in the lead role, Rashmika’s character has a strong presence too. She delivers a powerful monologue, which she described as a last-minute addition during filming.

Critical Response:

ETimes gave the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, calling it a “mass entertainer” with layers of emotion, action, and social commentary. Despite its 3-hour 20-minute runtime, the film keeps the audience hooked with action sequences, emotional depth, and gripping storytelling.

Audience and Celebrity Reactions:

On Twitter (now X), reactions to Pushpa 2 have been mixed. While many praised Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, some felt the plot did not fully meet expectations. However, the action scenes, background music by Devi Sri Prasad, and Sukumar’s direction received wide appreciation.

Fans wrote, “WHAT A MOVIE! Pushpa 2 is madness and greatness. Absolute thunder! It will definitely break Baahubali’s records!” Others highlighted how the climax fight symbolized deeper social issues.

Celebrities also praised the film. Ram Gopal Varma tweeted, “The biggest Hindi film ever is a dubbed Telugu film, and the biggest Hindi film actor is a Telugu star, Allu Arjun. It’s not ‘Pan-India’ anymore, it’s Telugu-India.”
