Akshay Kumar was promoting his latest action-drama film, Sky Force. In an interview with The Quint, the actor spoke about his experience working on Mahesh Bhatt’s Angaaray. He mentioned that during the film, when he was about to perform his “most difficult stunt,” the director got so worried about his safety that he couldn’t even watch.
The veteran actor explained that the stunt was so dangerous that, before he could perform it, the director, Mahesh Bhatt, ran away. Akshay said, “He told me, ‘Mujhe nahi dekhna hai, yeh marr jaayega’ (I don’t want to see; he will die). So, I ended up doing the stunt without my director present.”
Talking about the stunt, Akshay shared that in Angaaray, he had to jump from the seventh floor of one building to the fourth floor of another building. In between the buildings, there was a road with only one lane. “I had to jump from the seventh to the fourth floor, and during that moment, my director ran away,” he recalled.
Recently, Akshay also spoke in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla. In a fun segment, he looked at a picture from his movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and shared a funny memory with Salman Khan. In the photo, both actors were wearing grass skirts for a song. Akshay said the song was shot in Mauritius, and Farah Khan was the choreographer.
Smiling, Akshay added, “When we were told to wear these outfits, Salman was very happy, but I wasn’t as excited. But it was a lot of fun, and both of us had a great time pulling pranks and joking around.”
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Jolly LLB 3, Housefull 5, Hera Pheri 3, and more exciting projects.
