Amitabh Bachchan recently praised Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma for his brilliant performance in leading India to victory against England. In a blog post, the legendary actor expressed his admiration for Sharma, who silenced critics with his exceptional batting.
Big B started his blog with a simple thought about the often-ignored value of feet. He wrote, “Pairon ki aaj maalish ki, aur pata chala kitna sukh chupa hua tha mere liye. The feet we stand on, the ground it covers, and the distances it helps us travel… at the end of the day, after giving it a massage, I realized what I had missed all these years.”
He then mentioned, “A slight fade in the main event, but the courageous beating given to the Brits in cricket… simply incredible,” applauding Rohit Sharma’s superb 119 runs. He shared that “the best way to silence criticism is to perform beyond expectations… and Rohit did just that.”
Bachchan also reflected on the amazing power of the human brain, calling it “an instrument of unlimited capacity” and “the largest data bank ever invented.” He touched upon today’s youth and their fascination with technology like IT, AI, VR, and AR, observing how they now choose their own paths, often without relying on their parents’ advice.
He wrote, “The bheja (brain) is an instrument of unlimited capacity… the largest data bank ever invented… even when full, it can still take more. IT, AI, VR, AR—these are the takeovers and the conquerors of today’s world. The younger generation chooses these paths on their own, beyond their parents’ advice. What a wonderful world we live in… I move to dream now.”
On the work front, the 82-year-old superstar is currently hosting season 16 of the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati and was last seen in the Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan.
