Kamboj’s effort of 10 wickets for 49 runs is now the second most economical 10-wicket haul in Ranji Trophy history. Premangsu Chatterjee holds the record with 10 wickets for just 20 runs, while Kamboj’s performance surpasses Pradeep Sunderam’s 10-78, making him the second most economical.
3. 6th Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings
Kamboj joins an elite group of Indian bowlers who have taken all 10 wickets in a first-class innings. This includes Subash Gupte, Anil Kumble, and Debasish Mohanty, who also achieved the feat in various formats like Duleep Trophy and Test cricket.
4. Best bowling figures by a Haryana pacer
By taking all 10 wickets, Kamboj set a new record for the best bowling figures by a pacer from Haryana. Previously, the record was held by Joginder Sharma, who took 8-24 in a Ranji Trophy match during the 2004-05 season.
