Yash Raj Films announces release date of ‘War 2’
Yash Raj Films (YRF) has announced that War 2, the next big film in its Spy Universe, will release in cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2025.
This action-packed movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Hrithik Roshan, who was also in the first part, War (2019). Jr NTR is also playing a major role in the film.
YRF confirmed the release date by sharing a fan-made poster on its official X (Twitter) handle. The post read:
“Must say… you have set it up brilliantly even before we started marketing #War2… there will be mayhem in cinemas on 14 August 2025, worldwide…”
About the YRF Spy Universe
The YRF Spy Universe started in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Its huge success led to two sequels:
- Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
- Tiger 3 (2023)
Then came War (2019), featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, followed by Pathaan (2023), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
