Kishan shines for Sunrisers Hyderabad with a stunning century!

On Sunday, Kishan made a grand entry into the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team, smashing his first-ever IPL century in just 45 balls against Rajasthan Royals (RR). His explosive batting helped SRH post a massive 286/6, just one run short of their own record for the highest total in IPL history.
After a fiery start by Travis Head (67 off 31 balls) and Abhishek Sharma (24 off 11 balls), Kishan took charge. Right from the beginning, he played aggressive shots, attacking the Rajasthan bowlers, especially England’s Jofra Archer, who had a tough time, conceding 76 runs in his 4 overs—the most expensive spell in IPL history.
Kishan built an 85-run partnership with Head, providing a solid foundation before going all out with big hits. His century came with a mix of timing and power, as he smashed boundaries all over the ground.
SRH’s Batting Fireworks
- Kishan’s knock included 34 fours and 12 sixes, making it a memorable innings.
- SRH’s total of 286/6 was one of the highest in IPL history.
Rajasthan Royals’ Fightback
Even though Sanju Samson (66 runs) and Dhruv Jurel (70 runs) put up a strong 111-run partnership, Kishan’s century had already sealed the match for SRH. A late effort from Hetmyer and Dubey wasn’t enough, and RR lost by 44 runs.
For Kishan, this was more than just a hundred—it was a dream start with SRH and a strong message to the rest of the IPL teams!
