Head coach Gautam Gambhir reached Delhi, while captain Rohit Sharma landed in Mumbai as members of the Champions Trophy-winning Indian team returned home from Dubai through different routes on Monday.
Rohit reached Mumbai around 8 PM, along with his wife, who was in Dubai to support him during the final match.
Gambhir arrived in New Delhi at around 7 PM, where officials welcomed him before escorting him to his destination. This 2025 Champions Trophy win in Dubai is Gambhir’s first big trophy as India’s head coach since he took charge in July last year.
Other players also left Dubai, and some, as per sources, decided to take a short vacation abroad before returning to India. Soon, they will start preparing for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

India created history by becoming the first team to win three Champions Trophy titles. They achieved this milestone by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
Unlike previous celebrations, this time, the team’s return was simple, with no grand welcome planned. After reaching India, players will join their respective IPL teams to prepare for the new season, starting from March 22. Some teams, like Mumbai Indians, have already begun their pre-season training.
