Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of the most legendary cricketers in India, has received countless compliments throughout his career. From Sachin Tendulkar, who said, “Dhoni is the best captain I have played under,” admiring his calmness, tactical brilliance, and ability to inspire his team, to Virat Kohli, who mentioned, “MS Dhoni has been a big brother to me. He is someone I’ve always looked up to,” often acknowledging Dhoni’s role in shaping his career, there has never been a shortage of praise for the former Indian captain.
In the latest episode of ‘Tread Talks’ by Eurogrip Tyres, Dhoni was asked by the host about the best compliment he has ever received. After thinking for a while, Dhoni replied, “I think a lot of people have complimented me, but my wife saying ‘you have done alright in life,’ that’s a big compliment. She doesn’t give many compliments.”
The host smiled and said, “Finally, it all comes back to that.”
Dhoni, with a smile, responded, “Yeah, yeah, because we’re all trying to impress our wives.”
Even though Dhoni has received numerous compliments from fellow cricketers, analysts, and fans around the world, he holds his wife’s compliment as the best. This reflects his humility and down-to-earth nature.
