
The trailer launch event of the much-awaited pan-India movie Pushpa 2: The Rule turned quite chaotic in Patna on Sunday evening. Held at Gandhi Maidan, the grand event saw the presence of film stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, alongside a massive crowd of over 10,000 excited fans. However, things went out of hand when some fans crossed their limits, climbing barricades and structures to get closer to their favorite stars.
To manage the crowd, the police had to use a “mild lathi charge”. According to reports, some fans even threw slippers and objects at the police when they were stopped from climbing scaffolding or moving towards the stage. Videos from the scene captured this chaos, showing just how wild the fans got.
As per ANI, the stampede-like situation arose because fans climbed on structures at the venue. To control the crowd, security personnel had to take strict measures. However, police officials stated that the situation was under control. Rajeev Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police, mentioned that only a small group of unruly fans was removed from the area. Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh also assured us that everything was fine and that adequate security was present.
