Rohit Sharma played through a troublesome hamstring in India’s six-wicket win over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy.

Rohit Sharma had said his hamstring was fine after India’s win against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy, but some reports say it might not be so. Even though there is no official word about any problem within the team, his movements during the nets session at the ICC Academy in Dubai suggest otherwise.
According to the Times of India report, Rohit did not take part in any heavy or strenuous exercise right from the start. He did not face any bowling deliveries during the session, which was India’s first after a two-day break following their clear six-wicket win against Pakistan. Now, India will play New Zealand in their final group game on Sunday.
During the session, Rohit was seen jogging gently with the strength and conditioning coach, Soham Desai, keeping a close eye on him. He spent the whole nets session around, talking with head coach Gautam Gambhir and other staff, but he did not take any hard balls.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli, another key batsman, faced all kinds of bowling in the nets. As reported by PTI, he faced deliveries from bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja. He also spent over half an hour working with the net bowlers before the match against New Zealand.
There were also some social media posts and headlines about the game. People shared clips and tweets showing support for the team and celebrated moments from IPL, CSK, and legends like MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.
Mohammed Shami, like Rohit, seemed to be a bit off at the start of the Pakistan match. However, he was seen bowling at full pace, swinging the ball both ways and even tapping Kohli on his pads twice. Other bowlers like Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh also looked determined to give their best. Meanwhile, bowling coach Morne Morkel returned to the camp after a short break due to a personal emergency. The former South African pacer was seen talking at length with head coach Gautam Gambhir while the players warmed up.
Overall, while Rohit may be keeping a low profile in the nets, the team seems focused and ready for their upcoming clash against New Zealand.
