India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, shared some heartfelt pictures from his sister Dinal’s wedding on Sunday, December 1. The cricketer enjoyed the celebrations, smiling alongside his sibling during the garland exchange ceremony.
Suryakumar and his wife, Devisha Shetty, looked elegant in a pastel sherwani and a violet ethnic saree. He was also seen dancing at the sangeet ceremony and applying turmeric to Dinal during the haldi ceremony. The 33-year-old followed all the traditional rituals during the wedding.
Suryakumar posted an emotional message along with the pictures on Instagram.
In other news, Suryakumar recently achieved a remarkable feat by leading India to a hat-trick of series wins as the T20I captain. He guided India to a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka, followed by another 3-0 win against Bangladesh, and a 3-1 series win in South Africa. India has not lost a T20I series since the 2024 T20 World Cup.
India, under Shubman Gill’s leadership, also won a 4-1 series against Zimbabwe when senior players were rested.
As no T20I series is scheduled this year, Suryakumar is expected to play for Mumbai in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20 format) and the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy (One Day format).
The Indian team will next play a T20I series against England starting January 22. Currently, the senior team is in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Suryakumar, however, is not part of the Test and ODI squads. He was recently retained by Mumbai Indians for ₹16.35 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
