On Thursday, Varun shared his LinkedIn profile, calling himself a ‘passionate actor with over a decade of experience in delivering cinematic excellence.’ His bio said, “From headlining 300-crore mega hits to exploring small, content-driven films, my journey is about balancing creativity with audience impact. Whether leading a team in Student of the Year or stepping into a supernatural world in Bhediya, I always try to push boundaries and create value for everyone in the entertainment industry.”
In his first post, Varun called it a ‘new chapter’ and addressed the LinkedIn community. He wrote, “After working in the film industry for more than 10 years, I’ve learned the importance of hard work, teamwork, and adapting to changes.”
Talking about why he joined LinkedIn, Varun said, “What excites me most about being here is connecting with professionals from all industries, not just entertainment. Lessons I’ve learned on set – from directors, producers, and co-stars – have taught me how to handle challenges, work together, and keep improving.”
He promised followers that he would share insights about creativity, leadership, and even behind-the-scenes stories from films. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no matter where you are in your career, there’s always something new to learn,” he said. Within 24 hours of joining, Varun had over 20,000 followers on LinkedIn.

Varun had a busy 2024. He starred in Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Amazon Prime series by Raj & DK, a prequel to Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s Citadel. The show also featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Before this, Varun made special appearances as his Bhediya character in two supernatural films – Munjya and Stree 2.
Next, he will be seen in the action-thriller Baby John, directed by Kalees and co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film is set to release in theatres on December 25.
