Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, who got married to each other in December 2020, shared cryptic social media posts about God amid reports of their divorce.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have been in the news for many months because of rumors about problems in their married life. Recently, there are reports that they have officially divorced, and it is said that Yuzvendra may have to pay a very large amount as alimony.
On February 20, 2025, Yuzvendra posted an Instagram Story. His message said, “God has protected me more times than I can count. I can only imagine the times I was rescued without even knowing it. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.” He also added two folded hands emojis to his post.

At the same time, Dhanashree shared a post on her Instagram Story. Her message read, “From stressed to blessed. Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you are worrying today, remember that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying or give it all to God and choose to pray. There is power in believing that God can make everything work for your good.”
According to a report in ABP News, the couple completed their divorce formalities at the Bandra Family Court on February 20, 2025. It is reported that the judge asked them to attend a counseling session, which lasted for about 45 minutes. They told the judge that they wanted a divorce by mutual consent and that they had been living separately for the past 18 months. The main reason for their divorce was said to be differences in compatibility.
Another report from ETimes mentioned that Yuzvendra Chahal will have to pay Rs 60 crore in alimony to Dhanashree Verma.
It should be noted that neither Yuzvendra nor Dhanashree have confirmed or denied these reports.
